Missouri CowbELL
POSTPONED - YET AGAIN!!!! WHAT?!!
So Sorry ya’ll! We really wanted to host an awesome bad ass event for you this fall but…
Since we had to push Pedaler’s Jamboree to Labor Day Weekend this year (instead of Memorial Day Weekend) we had to put everything we had in our engines to pull that event off. Everything. We are running at 10% energy level right now. Hardly able to stand. The thought of throwing this event is just more that we can handle. Pushing back to next year… Bummer.

Get ready for a day of action-packed adventure (or go ahead and make it a weekend)! We are stuffing a whole lotta awesome into a spring Saturday, and we would love for you to join us! Introducing… Missouri Cowbell! What the heck is that, you ask? Here is the big idea…
REGISTRATION GETS ENTRY TO ALL EVENTS! Plus a free cowbell!
Cyclocross Xtreme:
We are bringing the most fun aspects of the sport of cyclocross into an insanely bizarre and bad ass course! Never participated in the sport before?! No worries, we are hosting a how-to seminar before the ride so you can learn the basics and jump right in! Are you a regular? Well, get ready for something completely different as we are making this course wild and epic! The course is a mile and a quarter of serious fun. Get ready for grassy flats, hills, hurdles, barn and bar (drinking) crossings, obstacles, and a whole bunch of spectator involvement! Not interested in riding but want to be involved? Take the how-to-spectate seminar and get put to work harassing the riders as they pass! There will be 6 different races (or we can just call them “rides” if you don’t want to race). Beginner events last 30 - 40 minutes (or shorter if you like), and the masters’ race lasts 1 hour. Kids race at 11:30 a.m. More details coming soon.
Backroads Trail Run:
Looking for a different type of run? Wait til you experience the Backroads Trail Run experience. Across the fields and through the woods on the Backroads Trail Run we go! Incorporating the best aspects of the cyclocross race course this trail run is going to be super fun! We have a 2.5k route waiting for you! Want to run a 5k? Run it 2 times over. 4 times over if 10k is your flavor! No official timer will be running and we will not be giving out finisher awards. All finishers will receive a free pair of donut socks and a free energy drink though! Serious prizes await those who participate in costume! Prizes awarded to the top 10 costumed participants!
Bonus Events:
Perhaps riding and running aren’t your bag. Don’t worry, we got lots of fun events that you can participate in that will keep you entertained between spectating the different events. Join a non-competitive or championship Cornhole game. Test your Ping Pong skills. Play Cards Against Humanity with strangers (and friends).
Camping and Music:
After the afternoon athletic events, its time to cut loose and listen to some music and dance (your legs still have it in them)! Enjoy a bluegrass band in the barn. Check out the DJ in the dance hall! Camp out over night and enjoy a bonfire and some drinks!
Beer Garden and Food Vendors:
We will have a beer garden available all weekend long and there will be food vendors on-site!
Cowbell Community:
Register for one event and participate in as many as you like. We would love to see the runners arrive early and cheers on (heckle) the riders and vice versa. Think that you are hard core?! Try doing both the cyclocross events and participating in the run! Make the most of your day and arrive early and stay late! Who doesn’t love bluegrass in a barn and a DJ in a dance hall? Give some high fives and make some friends!
